Long Distance Relationship; How To Make It Work.

I’ve decided to give you some keys to making your long distance relationship work.

1: Trust: This is very important for any relationship to thrive. You must trust each other.  Don't even think of starting a relationship with someone you don't trust.  So build trust by being open. Don't hide things or act suspicious.

2: Daily Communication: Communication is another survival tool that will help your relationship to thrive. Just find a means of communicating on the phone everyday. It could just be a 1min call to hear each other's voice and also utilise other means of communication (bbm, whatsapp, text,fb etc). But don't let your communicating via the social media hinder putting a call through to him/her. You can also maximise the use of video chats like skype. Communicating daily brings your mind together and helps sustain the feeling you have for each other.

3: See and Maximise the Advantages: There are some advantages in a long distant relationship which you must open your eyes to see and maximise. The most important advantage is the fact that you have more time to work more on yourself to become the best.

5: Engage in same activities: engaging in same activities will also help your relationship. Activities like planning to read a book together watch a movie or tv program together, pray together, study the bible together etc. Even if you can't see, your mind will be closer and things u learnt from those activities may be what you will discuss when communicating.

4. Show your love: Don't let the distance make you forget to show your love to him/her. You can send him/her a little gift, tell him or her how much you love him/her and that you can't wait to see him/her. Let him/her know you missed them. When you keep doing this, it keeps your love alive.

5: Create time to see: No matter the distant, you must set out a time to see each other. Yea it’s good to call, text and chat but most importantly, you must carve out time to spend together. And most times it requires sacrifices on both sides which you must be willing to pay for the sake of your relationship.
Remember special days; focus on the time you spent together.

Remember, long-distance relationships can be challenging, but they can also be rewarding. It takes a special kind of commitment to keep a long-distance relationship going strong. But if you are both willing to make the commitment, your relationship will be stronger for it.
