MARITAL FOUNDATION

When it comes to marital issues; there is little or nothing one can do if you haven't gotten it right from the start. Most of the problems people face in marriage are   results of a faulty foundation.

As an expert in the construction field, I can boldly tell you that FOUNDATION is a very important aspect of every building that you must not joke with or construct anyhow if you don't want to see the collapse of the building. If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psm 11:3).

The type of building you want will determine the FOUNDATION to be laid. The foundation for a sky scrapper will be different from that of a bungalow.
So also, the type of marriage you want will determine the foundation you are to build.

In construction, the contractor/builder you award your project to will also determine if your building will last. There are some criteria you consider before selecting a suitable contractor/builder which include:
1: Technical Competence
2: Past proven performance.

God is the only competent builder the world has ever known when it comes to marriage. Whatsoever God builds stands sure(2Tim 2:19) and Psalms 127:1 says "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it"
And also God has many proven marriages He has built and still building.
So Let God be your builder if you want a marriage that will last. Don't let nollywood/hollywood and magazine supply you wrong information about marriage (many of the so called nollywood stars are having serious problems in their marriage). Get God's word and dig deep into it, you can also Look for books by trusted authors. God's word contain all you need to know about relationship and marriage.
For you to have a strong foundation, you must voraciously study God's word and apply it to your life.

Types of foundation
1: Faulty Foundation: This is a dangerous type of foundation that you must not think of even though it is very common. There is no forgiveness, no trust, a lot of sexual immorality, no purity, God is absent in this foundation. It leads to heartbreaks and broken marriages.

2: Solid Foundation: This is the type of foundation God expect of us. It is built by the word of God, prayer and godly counsel. God is present, it leads to joy and marital fulfilment.
To have a great marriage you need to build a solid foundation.
