Things that matters in Life - DECISION

Somebody says "Decision to some extent determine Destiny".
You are a product of decision. Whatever you are today is a product of the decision you made yesterday and what you will become tomorrow will be a function of the decision you will take today.

To enjoy your relationship/marriage, you must make right decisions that will birth forth those things you desire in your relationship/marriage.

RIGHT DECISIONS TO MAKE.

1. Decision to serve God better: One of the wisest decision to make in life is deciding to serve God better and work more on your relationship with God. Pray better, Study your bible better, spend quality time with God. Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

2. Decision to be the Right Person: For the Singles who have been trusting God for suitors, you need to become the right person. One of the reasons you are still single may be because you are not yet the right person. To get the right partner for marriage, you must become the right person. Stop living a false life, stop pretending to be who you are not. Stop all the bad habit of smoking, drinking, clubbing etc. Start working on yourself, your career, your character, your gifts and talents. Start living a life of dignity and value. Add value to yourself and live your life for God.

3. Decision to be Faithful: Peradventure you are into double dealing in a bid to enjoy life, you need to stop it because you are not enjoying life you are only destroying it. Cut-off from every double dealing and extra marital affair you've been having. Be faithful to your man/woman.

4. Decision of Commitment: Measure your level of commitment to your relationship/marriage and improve on your commitment. Give your relationship/marriage the best of your time and resources. Be committed financially, be committed in prayers and be committed to personal development.

I pray that the Lord will perfect all that concerns your marital life in Jesus name.

Mega Shalom!

Godly Relationship; A Spirit-Guided Relationship

Relationship is God's idea and God is so much interested in our relationship and in the success of our relationship.

If i were to ask you "your definition of a godly relationship" Am sure your answer would have been that "a godly relationship is the one that exist between a Christian brother and sister after knowing they are both the will of God for each other"

As good as the answer is,  it is not totally correct; a godly relationship is a spirit-guided relationship. It is not just about being the will of God or a Christian,  it is about allowing God to be at the center of the relationship.

There are many people who claim to be a in godly relationship probably because they are Christians or because God led them to start the relationship. But it is not just being in a relationship with a Christian brother/sister that makes your relationship godly neither is it because God led you into the relationship. Though a godly relationship start with knowing God's will and accepting it but it does not end there.

A godly relationship is a Spirit-Guided Relationship; a relationship that every of the activities in it are guided by the Holy Spirit, a relationship that glorify God.

Rom 8:14 says "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God".

Who is leading you in your relationship? Is it your feelings/flesh or the Spirit of God?

If you still kiss and do all sort of immorality in your relationship, you are not in a godly relationship; the Holy Spirit will not lead you to kiss a brother or sister you are in relationship with. What can lead you to do that is the flesh and the flesh is an enemy of God. The flesh produces sexual immorality, anger, malice and selfish ambition. The

WHY YOU NEED GOD'S WILL IN YOUR MARITAL DECISION

[Gen 2:18] And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I WILL  make him an help meet for him.

I sometimes feel bad when I see people start a relationship or make a marital decision based on their feelings, outward appearance/attraction, or the number of years they've been friends.

Relationship/Marriage is not just a status or an event; it is a continuation of God's plan for your life. Your relationship/marriage has a link to destiny or its part of destiny. So when making this decision of whom to marry, you must ensure you consult God in prayer and have a strong conviction so that you don't make a mistake. You need to be sensitive and always be in tune with God so that He can direct you and show you HIS WILL.

Just like Mary was discerning/sensitive

COURTSHIP- Seed Time

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest shall not cease." (Genesis 8:22).

There are laws and principles that governs life. One of such laws is the law of sowing and reaping. For every harvest, there is a seed to sow.

People who are enjoying and harvesting good fruits in their marriage are people who had sowed right seeds during their courtship.

To enjoy your marriage and be happy, you must be willing to sow the right seeds.

Nothing good happen by chance. It must be consciously, deliberately and adequately prepared for.

Courtship is a time to consciously sow right seeds if you must enjoy your marriage.

Right Seeds to sow are :
1. Prayer: Courtship time is a time to pray.  pray for your marriage, your children and family. It is a time to team up with your fiancĂ©/fiancĂ©e and prophesy positive things into your

Count The Cost

"For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it.  luke 14:28"

Whet it comes to building, the best thing to do is to plan. After deciding to build a house and consulting an architect to design it for you, the next thing is to consult a Quantity Surveyor (Cost expert)  who will help you calculate the total money it will cost you to complete the house taking into account the cost of Materials, Labour, equipment and every other things needed for the project.
Knowing this will help you to know if you can afford to build the house and also help you  to see how your money will be spent on the project (The cost is usually broken down into the different stages of the construction process).

There are so many uncompleted projects around today because many are ignorant of the total cost of completing the project and as soon as they start and continue with the project,  they get to realize that they don't have enough money to finance the project.

The same principles  applies to Relationship and Marriage. Before you start a relationship and commit yourself to the marriage Covenant, there is need for you to COUNT THE COST and examine yourself to see if you have the spiritual, emotional and financial resources to sustain the relationship/marriage.

Maintaining Your Relationship /Marriage

Kurt Vonnegut, Hocus Pocus said "Another flaw in the human character is that everybody wants to build and nobody wants to do maintenance"

There are lots of people who are just interested in starting a relationship or getting married without thinking of how to maintain the relationship/marriage.

Falling in love, starting a relationship and getting married is easy but maintaining the love, reIationship and marriage is the real work.

My final year project work as a Quantity Surveying student was on Facilities Management(FM) and i focused on Maintenance aspect of FM because I noticed one of the problems facing Construction Industry is Poor Maintenance.

I will be relating the findings in my project work to Relationship and Marriage since it's also about building and the principles of building are the same everywhere.

By simple definition, Maintenance is the process of preserving a condition or situation or the state of being preserved.

Research has shown that Africans have not imbibed maintenance culture and it's so disheartening that this poor

Relationship Tips

A true relationship is when you can tell each other anything and everything.
No secrets and no lies. it is called Openness which will help you build trust and security that is needed for relationship to thrive. Be Open to your partner.

LOVE Boomerangs...
If you send it out, it WILL COME RIGHT BACK TO YOU!
This is what Christ taught us in Matthew 7:12. I call it Law of Reciprocity. Whatever you want your partner to do to you, do the same to him/her. if you want him/her to call you, respect you, love you, first call, respect and love him/her.

FORGIVENESS IS HARD but it has to be learned for any beautiful relationship

MARITAL FOUNDATION

When it comes to marital issues; there is little or nothing one can do if you haven't gotten it right from the start. Most of the problems people face in marriage are   results of a faulty foundation.

As an expert in the construction field, I can boldly tell you that FOUNDATION is a very important aspect of every building that you must not joke with or construct anyhow if you don't want to see the collapse of the building. If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psm 11:3).

The type of building you want will determine the FOUNDATION to be laid. The foundation for a sky scrapper will be different from that of a bungalow.
